A picture is worth 1000 words (pt. 2)...

San Dionisio -

A photo of my Chilean dad, Jorge Muñoz, who was a bonafide Chilean cowboy.

Lake Colbún, next to San Dionisio, where we walked to eating ice cream and went swimming. My sister Cecilia and her cousin Gabriela.

Cecilia and I.
Fútbol... Chileans vs. Gringos. Pretty much annihalation for the Gringos everytime the Chileans stepped on the field.

One of my dad´s horses... this one is named Lady, but she was definitely untrue to her name. Definite attitude problem.

My sister and I´s room.
The front of my house. They had grape vines growing above, forming a sort of canopy in the front yard, and those watermelons they sold directly from their yard.

Nirivilo (weekend trip to see a vineyard, woodcutter, other local artesans) -

Front of Chilean vineyard.

I did indeed hear it through the grapevine.

My Dogg Hauss buddy and I performing the cueca. (national dance of Chile)

The famous parradilla (heap of grilled types of meat and potatoes... heaven.)

Artesan shop in Quinamávida. They specialized in carving things out of volcano rocks.

Woodcutter´s house in Nirivilo... looked a lot like the hobbit house in the movie Lord of the Rings.

Everything was round!

Inside the house. And all made of wood.

Constitución (weekend trip) -

Thats right!

Black sand beach.
Pirate festival on beach where Chileans dressed as pirates they marched up and down a huge rock, and shot off fireworks. Soooo random!

More of the beach.

Constitución from the top of a hill.

Rabones/Linares-

Surprisingly a common sight. There were hords of these guys outside the (1) local bar.
The river we swam at.

FUTBOL! No matter how much we practiced... the Chileans routinely crushed us.

Where we stayed... retreat house at the foothills of the Andes... zing!

We walked around nearly everyday and explored the countryside.

One of our neighbor´s houses, which ranged from nice vacation homes to literally shacks.

Anyone up for some agrocamping?

MMMMMM....one of the most delicious Chilean meals... cazuela. Basically a plate of meat, whole potatoes, corn on the cob, and veggies but in soup.

Typical dessert... banana in honey.
